The Caledonia Steel Queens are Scotland’s leading women’s ice hockey club, based at Murrayfield Ice Arena, Edinburgh.

Originally established as a university team in 2018, the Steel Queens joined the Women’s National Ice Hockey League in 2023/24, earning promotion to WNIHL 1 North after remaining undefeated in our inaugural season.

Caledonia Steel Queens welcome players of all abilities and are proud to offer playing opportunities for all. We currently have three teams competing in the Women’s National Ice Hockey League: WNIHL 1 North, WNIHL 2 North and WNIHL U16. We also support a thriving core of development players and aim to provide a pathway for women and girls in Scotland to fulfil their playing potential.
